Ingredients and spices for the preparation of Chili Idli:

  1. 8-10 inactive
  2. 1/4 cup chopped red pepper
  3. 1/4 cup chopped onion
  4. 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
  5. 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  6. 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  7. 1 teaspoon chilli sauce
  8. 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  9. 1 teaspoon Shezwan sauce for seasoning (optional)
  10. salt to taste
  11. 1/2 teaspoon vinegar
  12. 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  13. Coriander leaves for garnish

Chili Idli cooking instructions

  1. Take the idlis and put them in the fridge for a few hours so they don't fall apart while cooking.
  2. Take oil in kadhai, add garlic and sauté. Add onion, peppers and chocolate
  3. Add soy sauce, vinegar, chilli sauce, ketchup, shezwan sauce, salt, sugar and sauté.
  4. Add chopped idli and mix well
  5. Fry for 5 minutes, then serve sprinkled with coriander leaves.
