Ingredients and Spices for Dirty Chana Chili:
- 2 cups of chana / hummus
- 1/4 cup corn flour
- Water if necessary
- Salt as needed
- Blowing oil
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 3 tablespoons garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon ginger (chopped)
- 3 tablespoons onion (chopped)
- 2-3 green chillies (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of ketchup
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
- Fresh onion (for garnish)
- Coriander leaves (for garnish)
Steps to prepare pure chana pepper
- 2 cups chickpeas/channa for 6-8 hours or overnight
- Cook it in a pressure cooker, add some salt and cook it on high heat for 5 whistles.
- Drain the chana and add the boiled chana to the pan.
- Take 4 tablespoons of cornflour and stir it. If you want more crumbly, add 2.3 tablespoons of water and add more cornflour to get a more crumbly result.
- Heat over high heat, do not touch for 30 seconds, fry until golden brown and store in foil.
- For the hot item - heat the pan and add 1 tablespoon of oil, 2-3 green capsicum, 2 tablespoons of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of ginger, 2 tablespoons of onion, cook for 20 seconds.
- Add spices: 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon vinegar, 2 tablespoons tomatoes, 1 tablespoon chili sauce, 1/2 teaspoon sugar and 1/2 cup water.
- Add 1 teaspoon of cornstarch in water to make a thick porridge.
- Now add crunchy chana and mix well and garnish with onion or coriander leaves.
- Chana Crispy Chili is ready.
